I have the 1.4.
I'm pushing my luck shooting at 2.2 on the 7D but can shoot at 1.4 with the 5D.
I thought Kai's DigitalRev review of the D800 seemed to implicitly state this, namely that the D800 files are so large that it is not entirely practical as a walk around camera. The Ryan Brenizer review effectively stated the same thing because he takes 250K pictures per year, which is not feasible with 70MB file sizes.
Assuming he saves the jpegs for quick proofing; thats 25 TB of disk space per year...
Thanks for that - there is hope then. I dont live in the US but i am planning a trip with a 2 week window and this purchase is one of the reasons for the trip. I need to ensure that its instock before i buy.
The only way you will know is to shoot till its dead. See how many shots you get. You should be able to shoot all day on one batter for stills. For video. Go buy 5 more batteries
And if you push the multi-controller straight in, if you had moved the center AF point to another position, it brings it right back to the center.
