As many already said it:
#1. (Awesome) Lens
#2. (Good) Body
Sold my 5D2 and 7D and got a 60D plus L lenses. Never looked back. Of course - as a next step - I will get the 5D3 as soon as I can but the above combo gave me a lot of keepers. (Actually now that one can pick up a 5D2 in excellent cond. on ebay for 1500 or less, I might get one to hold me over until the 5D drops under 3K.)
Btw, I don't do sports but did a few portraits lately and many with the 60D you can see plenty here:

Lenses / Re: Do all of canons 50 mm lens suck?

I tried the Canon 1.8, 1.4, and the Sigma 1.4.
Liked the two 1.4s, but I think that unless you have some special needs that a limitation on a certain lens makes impossible to do any/all "good" lens will do... and while I have doubts about the 50 1.8 myself the 1.4 even with its "issues" is a good lens...

This lady shoots a lot with the 50 1.4. I think she's pretty good at what she's doing and another good example that expensive equipment doesn't substitute a good photographer...

Well, I have a really good deal right here.

Make me an offer.

LOL, nice.  I have the Bible on an iphone app, and it updates about once a month, so I'm really starting to wonder what they're updating!

I would check what are the apps' permissions?
Does it have access to your phone's location, state, browser activities...etc.?
Whenever I download an app for my Android I read the description and it states what the apps wants to access... i.e. a calculator or book doesn't need to know my call history or my browser activities.. So if yours is like that .... besides the regular bug fixes it could provide them little updates from You...

EOS Bodies / Re: 7d vs 60d
« on: March 13, 2012, 12:58:40 PM »
Had both plus the 5D2.
The only thing I miss on my 60D is the ability to MA my lenses...
...on the other hand - maybe I was just lucky - I never really needed it on the 60D or on the 5D,
Again, the 7D is a wonderful camera I just rather spend money on lenses than on bodies... especially if there is such a small diff. Plus the money i saved back then was enough to get a 200L 2.8 and I love that lens... :)

Bottom line is always the same... What do you need it for...??

I suspect (but do not know) that he feels the system has overall helped to keep things under control.

Riiiight.... it's working soo well....  Now I have -12  ::)  I feel much more controlled...  ;)
Obviously half came after I said it is childish -which is true- but what wrong have I done before?

Does this encouraging a user to post/offer help to ppl more?

I only posted photos and offered help in the beginning yet I already have more - than + ;D
So somehow I offended some highly intelligent creature's feelings...
This whole karma stuff is pointless and very childish, CR should take it off but since it is entertaining to some I doubt that they will...
Maybe CR guy will order us to stand in the corner after collecting x neg.s  ;)
Still I wouldn't worry about it... I certainly won't lose sleep over it....

+1 for Sigma 8-16.
I have it a while ago and love it :)

Software & Accessories / Re: Looking for a new bag/backpack
« on: February 15, 2012, 11:58:13 AM »
I'm using two, a CaseLogic SLRC206 backpack if I need more gear and a Tenba messenger bag if I need less or I'm in the city. I highly recommend both. Of course it depends on your need, taste, brand-name-addiction :) ..etc.
If you need something larger I would check out the new Naneu 120. It might be the best quality bag I ever seen and if you need room it has plenty. All of them can carry a laptop up to 15" (which space is now used for a much smaller tablet). more here:

Too bad about the birthmarks across her face. They almost look like letters. Otherwise, very nice.

Like I said she is Special :)

I know, I know... however unfortunately people don't respect other's property nowadays and photos can turn up on unexpected places/sites. Therefore all my shots from my site are watermarked.

Thank you though.. :)
