Animal Kingdom / Wrong Photography Ethics?

I found the sky boring and added clouds to make it more interesting.

Do you think this is cheating? I really want to know.

Am very confused. I have made changes but not altered nature. Have I done something wrong?

Canon General / Desired fantasy gear

Am wondering what gear we all want that is not being manufactured yet but we wish it were.

I start:
A focusing screen (for cameras that accept interchangeable screens eg 1dx and 5d2) with proper split screen focusing aid. This will help me use Zeiss lenses better and focus manually Canon lenses in low light etc.
And, if I could: 24-105 f2.8 IS with good corner sharpness. This will be my ultimate travel lens.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / 1dx plus 85 1.2 is great for night street photography.

The low noise of 1dx at high ISO plus the 1.2 f stop of the 85mm lens open up options of night street photography which were difficult before for me. 

Am loving it as I love to walk nights where ever I travel and take photos. Many times I am working in day time with my real job and do not get to do any photography.

Am loving it!

Lenses / Prediction for 200-400

I have a two month African Safari coming up in September/October of this year.

Do you guys predict the 200-400 f4 will be available before that?

Asking because this is a very serious trip and I need to start sorting out my lenses from now.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Exposing to the left?

Hello all.
I find that both my 1dx and 5d3 expose a bit to the left and not to the right (recommended by many).
Am I mistaken or any of you also noticing this? 1dx does this bit more than 5d3.
I work in aperture priority.
Should I dial in slight over exposure in the compensation menu or leave it as is and boost in PS?

Lenses / 70-200 2.8 II with 2x (old) vs 100-400

Experts.
I have an unplanned trip to Masai Mara coming up with I am very excited about.
I sold my 600 ver 1 few months ago and have not been able to replace it (waiting for 200-400).

Now I have 300 2.8 ver 1 and 70-200 II for the trip. I am concerned that I might not have the required reach on my full frame cameras (X and 3).

A friend has 100-400 which I can rent for real cheap.

My questions: Will the 70-200 wit 2x be as effective as the 100-400 in regards mainly to IQ. AF speed is important by I think if there is any difference in this regard it would be minimal.

I intend to shoot at the widest f stop in most situations.

Technical Support / IS to control SUBJECT motion???

I was reading up on Sony RX1 specs at BH Photo and came across something of super interest to me. It says that they have a technology incorporated which helps reduce BOTH camera and subject motion!

"SteadyShot also helps to eliminate motion blur when your subject or the camera moves during image capture."

Is this some sort of new technology that you all are aware off that I missed? As I thought IS is only for camera shake.

Lenses / Bokeh confusion.

Hello learned friends.
I recently did a job for a client who wanted me to take pictures to sell land/second homes in his farmland.
I am attaching two photos: Bath Tub and Glasses.
I like the bokah on the shot with the glasses but somehow do not like the way the sand is going out of focus in the bath tub shot.
Is it me of does anyone else also find it unpleasant?
Tech info (same for both shots!) 70-200 II f2.8 @200mm.

Lenses / Lens checking methods 24-70II

Hello experts.

I just bought 24-70II and Zeiss 15mm. Both will reach me from USA on 19th. Am excited!

Various reviews mention that they had 'issues' with their 24-70 II. What procedures do you recommend for me to check if the lens is working properly? I have never 'checked' a lens before so all advice is appreciated.
