This is such a weird body to release, where does it fit in? before the 5d mkiii and after the 5d mKii hum ..ok

A certain department / branch needs to understand that this area has changed drastically in the affordable prosumer area. 4:2:2 ( or give us raw 2k/4k whatever to a cf card or to external 4k raw.. Whatever, in camera slowmo, super fast frame rate 24/30/60/120/240/480/720/2000 with the xlr audio lol.... For the target group

Third Party Manufacturers / Re: Sony NEX goes Full Frame!!!!

I wouldn't be surprised, sony & their nex lines they really got a head-start on understanding their customers needs' when it comes to mirrorless cameras (yes I'll include panasonic line as an area of thought) just so far sony has hit the nail on the head, really if they address the issues, add some minor body tweaks then they are good to-go, because honestly I think after these next line up when the nex-FF comes (I hope it does) they know what works and it's time to start manufacture some fast / os glass like the 50mm 1.8 oss lens which is beautiful ;)

1.) casual
2.) prosumer
3.) professional

This is why I'm waiting 2+ years to upgrade from the 5d Mkii after all these issues are out of the way :)

I think it's really hard to try to improve on the 7d & 5d mkii (will include the 60d) really great camera's for what they are :) think everyone would love a 5d mkIII with at least one XLR input a mode that switches the sensor to an 8mp for low light :P then flips back to a 30MP camera lol :D

but none the less even though I love the DOF that i'm seeing; that I would love an xf100 for video and the  dslr as a camera :)

so... i'm happy with my 7d / 5d mkii for a couple more years :)

that's a crazy huge improvement!!

They might have been poking fun, but honestly that's real world ;)

this will be great for youtube cat-videos :)

when you say the remapping trick.

you put the camera cap on, turn on the manual clean and count to 10 and then turn it off right? :)

basically this will happen with long exposures with an high ISO, natural. Though I don't recommend doing that often to the sensor, is that what your doing?

EOS Bodies / Re: No 5D Mark III on Novemeber 3 [CR2]

digital rev had the same feeling.

This is why the 5d MKIII is going to be something of an upgrade that we are going to have to just wait out, it has to fill some big shoes of it's predecessor and what we expect, kinda reminds me of how blizzard takes the longest time to make it's games Starcraft / Diablo.

The 5d MKII is a crazy great camera; think the biggest upgrade for me to have is (skipping MP's to be honest)

1.) EVF viewfinder
2.) Bigger flip any direction HD screen
- extra -
XLR input with phantom power & an audio-output to monitor audio while recording (built in)
3.) Slow-Mo Video setting + more Cinema style settings
4.) Canon Professional Video editing software be nice too bundled in.

I was in the same boat:

I always had in the back of my mind (how would a full frame look like (the youtube videos that that 5d mkii made made it more maddening)) When I went with it, I knew thats what I should have done from the start, own the 60d / 7d.

so there you go, the 5d mkii is a crazy great camera.
