You can't compare Canon MTFs to Nikon MTFs. It's not a valid comparision.

you can not come with assumption like that with out explaining what you meant

Hey man, I really don't give a crap. I actually meant that I can come with an "assumption" if I want to.

The way I understand MTFs is that they are not comparable between brands because the the info is not gathered the same way. There are no standards.

If you want links, I have zero desire to find them for you. But I doubt you need them as you seem to be way-super-smart.

I actually made the same jump about 4 months ago. The 5D Mark III is an incredible camera. I don't think there is one single thing about it that I don't like. I've shot a couple of weddings with it so far and the high ISO is fantastic and a far underscored feature is the silent shooting. For weddings this is priceless! I went to a wedding and the photographer (who is crazy good) was shooting with a Nikon D3s and it was stupidly loud.

As someone that went from a 7D to a 5D3 and still own both I can so easily answer that.
Do I miss my focal ranges being just plain wrong? No.
FF feels like home.

I never look back. I keep the 7D as a back up at weddings but that's all, it's hardly ever used.

I recently shot at a very dark wedding reception too and I had an issue with the 5DIIIs outer points with a 430EXII.

I switched to the center column and it worked fine. *shrug, it didn't really bother me.

Even if the light was on during an exposure there is no way that little amount of extra light would affect the exposure. If that was enough light to throw off the exposure then the the AF point light would already be throwing it off. But, as neuro said, the lights are off then anyway.

I don't see this as an issue aside from the possible annoyance.

You're not in Live View mode, you are in Movie Mode. It's showing you the movie crop.

If you want to go to Live view just press the live view button. You don't have to flip the switch.

Lenses / Re: EF 24-70 F/2.8L II USM on 7D

IQ wise it'll be a fine lens on a 7D.

Focal range wise (as most are saying) it'll be weird at best and annoying at worst. Or maybe I just have a stronger opinion about this than most people. But I found the 24-70mm to be very frustrating on my 7D. It is this strange 38.5-112mm range that almost makes it not usable for it's designed purpose. I guess you have the 10-22mm to give you the UWA/WA shots, but it seems it would force you to change lenses a lot.

I'd recommend the EF-S 17-55mm or EF 16-35mm (25.6-56mm) if you have FF plans farther down the road.
