One feature that sold me on the 7D2 was the flicker detection. If you shoot indoor sports with bad lighting, you can take a series of consecutive shots and each one will have a different exposure. The post cleanup takes forever to make those look good. The 7D2 will detect when your lighting flickers, and you can set it so the shutter only goes off during the brightest cycle of the flicker. Now I can't wait to shoot my next table tennis tournament under those horrid lights
What is really game changing, sony A7 or a7s. Or new 5-axis sensor stabilization in A7 II. Btw it cost as much as 7d2.
If a game-changing tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Technically yes, but it really doesn't matter all that much.
I'll bet the 7DII sells more than all the a7 models combined.
If this camera had come from Canon or Nikon (or any of the established players) we'd all be changing our underwear, we'd be so excited. So, read-up on the specs wherever you find them online, but let's dive in and see what all these amazing features mean in the real world, and how well they perform.
