The missing sync socket is only an issue if you want to use studio strobes. The speedlights connect to the cameras hotshoe.

The same person also touched on the 5D Mark III saying it would be slightly higher megapixel than the current 21mp, and offer an AF system in line with the 7D.
Excellent. Lets hope the "slight" increase means 22.1MP (to allow 3x3 binning for videos).

Doesn't take me more than 60min to create a profile for a zoom. Less than it would take me to ship a lens to Canon. Also I can actually use the lens right away vs. waiting two weeks to get it back. Saves time & money, even after buying a LensAlign tool.
In conclusion, do you need microadjust? I really dont think so.
*Shrug* Your milage obviousely varies, but having MA in my 7D & 5DII saved me a lot of time & money.

I do MA some lenses, incl. zooms. Using a tool like LensAlign makes profiling a lens quick and easy -- up to you to decide what to set for a zoom, I usually use a value that will correct the long end since the DOF on the short side will compensate.
