I don't think we'll see a camera with these specs. I think the 5DIII will replace the current 5DII and a new higher MP 5Dsomething will fill the place of the current 5DIII level.

But if this camera is announced at photokina for a say introduction price tag of eur 2000-2300 it will be the perfect replacement for my 5DII.

I think canon delivered a near perfect allround FF camera with the 5DIII.

- AF system
- MA improved
- AEB improved

Considering what I shoot, i will keep my fast primes and continue to invest in them. Personally, regardless if a f/4 functions as well as an f/2.8, I will always still go after the 1.2s and 1.4s

My dealer informed me this morning that Canon is shipping their 5D order "in a day or two" and they'll ship my order this week.

That would be nice, means that we soon can expect real live samples

Apparently the 5D mark III will be available in France 04/01/2012 ! It's price : 3190 €

Don't understand why introduction price in france (€3190) differs that much from holland (€3500), justifies a weekend trip to Paris

I understand David Parry completly. Based on specs, the mkIII is a very good allround FF cam. I've no doubt it will be a lot of fun shooting with the mkIII.

Thanks for sharing Pity we aren't able to see original RAW files yet. These JPG samples shows some significant NR side effects.

Based on specs the 5DIII is the perfect allround FF camera for me. The only doubt I have so far is the introduction price of approx. EUR 3500.

I don't care about more megapixel. Current 21 mp from the 5DII are fine for me.
