Lenses / Re: Lesson learnt on flare.
« on: May 07, 2012, 11:43:10 AM »
It looks like there may be a tiny tiny bit more in your testing, but your shot you linked to is so amazing I'd never pixel peep it like that. Just me. I run almost the same UV filter on my 24-70L and ran into some flare yesterday on a very bright day, but fixed it by taking two small steps to the left.

EOS Bodies / Re: Canon Rebel T4i [CR2]

I bought my T2i just before the T3i's came out, because it was my first DSLR and I didn't know about the T3i's. The only thing I wish mine had right now from the T3i is the articulating LCD screen. I would love to step up to FF, but can't really afford it. I'm interested in seeing the specs for the T4i... hopefully better ISO and noise performance and faster burst. That would make me happy.

Provide a single .rar file ...nobody wants to hit RapidShare and wait X seconds for free users for each file.

Nice photo =) Would love to see some lower light and/or higher ISO with your 24-70L.

I have the same lens (love it) with my T2i and when I can afford it, want to jump up to the 5D3. Would love to see how it performs on the camera!

EOS Bodies / Re: Amazon - Bezo's lame response...

HAHAHAAH ....oh man, people like you people crack me up. I logged in just so I could publicly laugh out loud.

I get that you're frustrated, but c'mon, Amazon is a big company and does a pretty good job of Customer Service if I do say so myself. I'm sure if they had stock, they'd send it to you. Remember that YOU pre-ordered against stock they didn't have originally. As you stated, you could have bought it from Canon and had it already (what is stopping you?). And over this one thing, you're going to stop buying from Amazon in the future? I don't believe it. Its like whiny kids that say if XYZ doesn't happen with a video game I'm never purchasing from EA or whoever again. Get real dude.

Software & Accessories / Re: Best photog backpack??
« on: March 22, 2012, 10:29:16 AM »
I have the 250AW and I love it. I've used it in the rain, the snow, and walking around Seattle for several hours. Very comfortable and it doesn't scream photography backpack unless I have my camera out. One thing I really like is that it puts the camera tripod on the side, not the front. There's plenty of room up top and even a slot for a laptop that I don't carry.

My gear is a 430ex II flash, 50mm, 10-20mm, Canon T2i w/ 24-70L attached (hood backwards fits in the main slot, attached does not).

$119 on Amazon too

This is my backpack and I love it. I've used it in the snow, when its snowing. Everything stayed dry with the cover. It fits all my gear nicely and the up top storage is great. Even holds a tripod on the side, not the front.

Really like that second shot! I've been to the falls a few times having grown up in Redding and you captured them nicely.
