Hey Northstar, how do you like your gopro black 3 so far?
I wanted one (3+) until I heard about the focusing issue and have decided to wait for the new one (assuming there is one).

Hi,
For your reference, below are some of my lightroom screenshot (at 100% view) of birds I took using my Tamron @ 600mm F6.3. All are without processing (just open using lightroom and took the screenshot):

   Have a nice day.

Great Shots weixing.  So long does it take to get one of these?  Hmm...

Hmm... I'm really interested in this lens now that I have read all these replies.  I want to thank the op and everyone else for their comments.  Much to consider.  If anyone else has a 5dIII with this lens and can lead me to their shots I'd appreciate it.  Particularly for bif.

Thanks.

All shot with the Tamron 150-600mm - in poor light as well.

Stellar shots.  Very nice.

I was prepared to be skeptical but you nailed the cuteness.  Good job.

Yup. Too bad it won't auto focus good enough to hit the broad side of a galaxy ;D

Must wait for the 85...

This is one of my three best friends, Mauser.

Nicely done and greatly appreciated.  A lot of food for thought and some insight into the interrelated features of the camera and lens.

Third Party Manufacturers / Re: Sigma 50 f/1.4 Art Lens Should be Amazing
« on: January 15, 2014, 04:08:37 PM »
I loved my 50mm f1.8 but I was ambivalent to the f1.4.  I wanted to love it.. but I just couldn't.

If the sigma is amazing, I'm in.  35 is too wide for me and 85otoo long.  Goldie locks.... don't care... but I will wait a year or two for the  50 to come down in price the was the 35 has.  699 New... on sale... thank you very much.

+1 on your view of the 1.4.

+1 me too.  Gonna get rid of it.

Camera and lens please!   This is a great opportunity to scout out this feature on different lens and cameras.

Software & Accessories / Re: Adobe site hacked

So let me get this straight. If you did not get the email from adobe about it, then your particular info was not compromised? Maybe I got lucky for once because I never got a email about it.

Or maybe someone hacked your account and are now getting your e-mails . . .

You could call NSA and ask....

I've been watching a lot of marketing talk lately from sources like creativelive...and most do say to have a Business presence on FB, BUT....don't post high-res, non-watermarked images there.

And that the main thing you use the FB account for, is to drive customers/clients from there to YOUR own website and blogs.  You aren't using FB primarily for a website or business, but as basically a big link to send them to your own sites where you do have more control.

I agree with the above.  I use fb to get the experience of feedback and at least 50 percent of these people are strangers.  I have a FB for just my photography.  You can see what resonates and what doesn't.  It has been a positive move for myself.

Yum.  I was saving for the 24-70 but I'll wait and see what this one is all about first.  Go Sigma.
