Lighting / Re: Studio lighting
« on: October 13, 2013, 02:15:57 PM »
Folks, I have similar question on the subject matter, I do portraits and weddings, I have been thinking to upgrade my lights from Elinchrom to either Broncolor or Profoto. I like bluish tint of Bron while I heard so many good things about Profoto also, I like bluish tint of bron while I feel that Profoto is crisp but flat and slightly warmer with no accent like Bron. I Being in Canon system, my feel is that Canon lenses are little bit on cooler side, so my question is what system would be best in combination with Canon, Bron or Profoto. Your input will be greatly appreciated, thank you all in advance.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / 5D III Dynamic Range
« on: February 08, 2013, 10:20:53 AM »
Folks,
Greetings,
As we all know the dynamic range of 5D MK III is not better than its counterpart Nikon D800. I was wondering if this deficiency could be addressed by using single shot HDR for batch processing. Has anyone tried HDR batch process to improve dynamic range, what would be good software for this purpose or any other comments. Thanks in advance.

Third Party Manufacturers / Salvage Value of Processed Color Negatives
« on: December 21, 2012, 11:25:20 AM »
Folks,
Happoy Holidays,
There is no specific catagory for my question on this forum so third party manufacturer is nearest thing to my question. A question came to me, someone has about 150 boxes of processed negatives of color films, I know that black and white films use silver and may have some value but wondering if there is any value to those processed color negatives. Thank you very much in advance for your input.

I’ve also heard through the grapevine that Canon USA wasn’t all too happy with the purported Photoshop’d EOS-3 with a 46.1mp sensor articles that popped up not too long ago. That in itself is quite interesting, as why would they care about something that isn’t real?

Possibly because they're marketing machine is trying to convince the user base that 20MP class cameras are enough for everyone's needs?
and prssibaly trying to convince that it is ok to use mediocre sensor also.

looks like this price range will attract only a few, lesser price attracts more buyers, which ends up balancing profit margin, a balanced and optimised cost would attract more buyers from both sides, those who dont care about money and those who are on budget
