Yep, it's getting clearer a the time: those who have an overwhelming desire to under expose should by Nikon.

Temple guy seems to hav found some followers who love under exposing  ;D

Why don't you stop being so bitter and negative?

or use nikon/sony for gods sake.

what do such persons try to achive writting their negative stuff all day on a CANON user forum?
i mean i dont´t get it.

is this some kind of advertising for nikon?
does he think that some people will switch to sony/nikon because of his rabbiting?

does he think canons managers care what he writes here?

really i don´t get how someone rants about ONE topic, all day, 7 days a week.
what a poor life.....  ::)

I know I'll regret this, I just Know, But.

Ankorwat, instead of angsting over Sensors and Sony Margins & DR and D800's etc, why don't you take a break, go get that iPhone 4s of yours, and practise taking Sunsets with a straight Horizon, once you get that down pat, progress to bigger Cameras, with bigger sensors, and ultimately perhaps bigger discussions, and don't worry so much about Sony & their Healthiness, they don't care, they're Happily driving themselves into the Ground.

i wonder... was there not an ignore button?
that ankortwat guy is getting on my nerves.

There are a couple of Nikon 50mm f1.2 MF primes that are usable at f/1.2 (no focus shift...) - I can't think of any in the Canon system (unless you're using a Nikon lens on an EF-mount adapter?)

LOL..... you are either trolling or something i get banned for when i write it.   ;D

After 4 years using Canon gear i am thinking of selling all my stuff and switch over to Nikon to get better sensor performance.  The lenses of Nikon are not as good as Canon's but with the Nikon sensor the (DSLR+Lens combi) scores are much better. "It's the combi that makes the picture"

What do you all think?
Keep waiting till Canon gets up (again) with Nikon?

I think this can take a long time... Maby never... Or are there any rumors canon wil get back on top soon?

when it walks like a troll... talks like a troll.. smells like a troll it probably is a ....   ;D

EOS Bodies / Re: EOS 70D a New Benchmark in ISO Performance?
« on: July 09, 2013, 12:16:59 PM »
a 70D doing better than 6D in ISO performance is all possible.
Just like a 6 cylinder car out doing a 8 cylinder car of the same engine capacity because they have new technology applied. but when then new tech is apply to the 8 cylinder engine it will over come again.

So APS-c do better than FF for a while, then FF improve again.

no that is impossible from,  Canon have  then solved the earth's energy problems  if  a APS sensor has that kind of QE

That's correct. The good effect of all that is improvement across the whole field which will be applied in a hopefully much more advanced form in upcoming FF bodies.

look at whats going on here  http://image-sensors-world.blogspot.se
the new sensors  comes from the mobile camera research

and while your spending half you life arguing about DR on internet forums others take great pictures with 6 year old cameras. :D

it´s sometimes so embarrasing to read gear focused photography websites.   8)

sony is making 63% of it´s profit from insurance these days.

the electronic part of sony is a money grave.

it´s more and more likely sony will split off or even sell the electronics department.
canon would be dumb to depend on sony for sensor manufacturing in the long run.

and i have not much trust in the sony DSLR system either.

sony may has invested the most in manufacturing plants... but it does not PAY.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/28/business/global/sonys-bread-and-butter-its-not-electronics.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

you are wrong, Sonys sensor department is healthy, they earn money from the mobile sensors up to 24x36mm
that other departments such as television, consumer electronics, etc. are not going so well is another question

he talked about electronics at sony and he gave a source.

where is your source? (*)

they earn money... how much?
how long till they get the investment back?

sony electronics are overall in a bad spot compared to canon.

(*) don´t mind i found it myself.

Sony saw revenues of its semiconductor department (mainly focusing on image sensors) fall 11.5% on quarter to JPY164.1 billion in the first quarter of 2013. However, Sony aims to increase 2013 annual revenues to JPY500 billion from JPY480 billion in 2012.

So far, the best remover for all kinds of glue without damaging the original surface has been rain-x. I've used that on painted plastics and plastic screens without any problem. It's originally intended to prevent water from sticking to windshields, but it works excellent for removing glue residue.

actually the GGS glass removed so good i did not need any solution.
and you can even put the glass on again.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: GPS suggestions
« on: July 09, 2013, 06:01:56 AM »
Right now is testing geotag on my iPhone.  I don't need high accuracy but more of a reminder where I was.  Other suggestions to test.   Test of iPhone geotag will done later this week when I get home

what exactly is the question?
and what does it have to do with EOS bodies?

GGS larmor on my 6D.

i use this GGS display protectors on all my cameras.

two of these are "glass" applied with adhesive...

the adhesive can be removed without a problem... and without a trace.
just use a hair dryer to warm the GGS glass up a little and remove it.

all i can say is i have a kata bug 205 (and another kata i don´t know the name of right now. it´s the HB 205 i think) and i love them.

most comfortable harness i ever had on a photo backpack.
as a woman, i think the waist belt is a great help to carry the weight.

the HB 205 comes with a waist belt. for the bug 205 you have to purchase it separately.

canon will make a lot of money with this.. personally i don´t care much about video.

but if it keeps canon above water, why complain?

all other camera companys (nikon and leica as exception) are struggeling.

today you only need to be a complete idi-t in a crappy one room appartment to get worldwide attention. thank god for youtube.  :P

there is this other (unbelivable fat and sweaty) guy who rants about computer games all day.
and he is actually making money with this crap.

i mean, there is nothing stupid enough these days that people won´t pay for it.
only thing you need is THE COMPLETE LACK OF SELFRESPECT.
and that´s a common attribute these days...

i noticed "guerilla advertising" for youtube channels on canon rumors too.
strange enough comments about it where removed, but that´s not my problem.

ps: i did not watch this clip... it´s the same BS over and over.

I couldn't believe it either at first when I tried the 6d, and I am still wondering if I got it wrong: The fact that Canon forces the *source* files to be deleted is so impudent that it knocks your socks right off... and all reviews I know missed that, they only state "jpeg only" for hdr but don't say that it's impossible to do a custom hdr from raw afterwards in postprocessing and use the in-camera jpeg as a quick preview.

NOBODY.. really interested in HDR will do in camera HDR.

i have my HDR settings on one of the custom functions.
even when the 6D had the same HDR functions as the 5D MK3 i would never use it.

and imo in camera HDR is pretty useless as preview too.
HDR is too much dependend on the postprocessing.

in camera HDR is like art filters in P&S cameras.
worthless if you are really interested in your photos.

my 2 cents.
