EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: The 5D Mark III Fix
« on: May 04, 2012, 08:23:05 AM »
I wonder if Nikonians are the same right now...

http://fstoppers.com/news-nikon-d800-has-confirmed-focusview-finder-issues

i think this one is a REAL issue...

I also heard there are some AF issues that actually needs fixing.

My friends d4 viewfinder was strangely OOF if you looked through one corner of it...

yeah, so do you think they also whine on the internet about it?

i know the title was already discussed that it should be 'YOUR' expectations but I just wanted to post Ryan's REAL photos from a REAL wedding...

http://www.ryanbrenizer.com/2012/03/a-nikon-users-review-of-the-canon-5d-mark-iii/

so i don't think the camera is at fault, knowing the camera can produce these kinds of images

5D MK III Sample Images / Re: 5D MK III Images

From an engagement shoot last saturday...

i apologize if this has already been suggested. but have you tried using a different 5D3 body and see if you are still having the same issues. I do own 5D2 and 5D3, I shoot weddings and I can say that you can't even compare 5D2 on 5D3's AF specially on lowlight situations..

Software & Accessories / Re: Where to position a watermark
« on: April 19, 2012, 02:05:20 PM »
there should be a 'no watermark' option in the poll :)

i don't put watermarks at all, it's just a distraction...

my opinion :)

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: 5DIII same ISO performance as 5DII
« on: April 19, 2012, 07:04:22 AM »
in terms of high ISO performance, I can definitely say that 5D3 outperforms 5D2!

Natural Light
Canon EOS 5D MK III + 70-200 F2.8 L II IS
ISO 12,800
1/800
F2.8

there's no way my 5D2 could've taken that shot with less noise

how long does it take to calibrate 1 lens?  5-10 minutes tops?

also how often do you guys calibrate? every season/quarter/shoot?

Black & White / Re: So..what sucks about this shot?
« on: April 10, 2012, 10:33:14 AM »
hello,

first of all, your photo does not suck. go here http://youarenotaphotographer.com/ and I know you'll feel better about your photo. :)

ask the woman in the photo what she thinks of it.  if she hates it, then ask her why, if she loves it, then you've done your job as a photographer

p.s i am sure that woman in the photo will like/love your photo, no doubt

« on: April 10, 2012, 08:25:52 AM »
well, if they weren't waiting for their pre-orders, B&H being closed wouldn't be an issue...

just a coincidence that a bunch of new gear came out at this specific 'holiday/s'

EOS Bodies / Re: (CAN) Henry's extended warranty of 5D3
« on: March 22, 2012, 12:12:19 PM »
i think you are better off with the Canon Warranty.. 4 years is a long time.. do you think you'll still be owning your 5d3 in 4 years? is the warranty transferrable? just in case you decide to sell?

personally, I for one am SURE that my 5d3 will be gone in +/- 3 years.
