1. make a folder and plop rawtodng.exe and the RAW video file into it
2. drag the RAW video file onto rawtodng.exe, wait a while
3. move the RAW video file and the rawtodng.exe to some other folder

Can I do these first three steps in Windows, and then perform the remaining steps on a Mac?

Presumably someone will develop a Mac version of rawtodng.exe in the next few months.

I'm still stunned by the possibilities here.

I'll do you one better. Here is the raw2dng app compiled for mac. Same thing applies. Just drag your raw file and drop onto this app(after unzipping app of course) and it will create a folder wherever your raw file is with DNG's

THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're more than welcome.

What are some things that I should check out to be sure that everything is working as should?
What are good ways the clean the focus and zoom dials(has like a white residue stuff maybe rain/sweat)
Seems to be good to me. Don't notice any scratches or cracks

Asking price was $550, talked him down to $460.
I don't really shoot wide so I wasn't really looking to purchase this lens(really wanted something with IS ie.24-105) but I like to see how good of a deal I can get. Sometimes, I get deals too good to pass up lol.

Any trusted members here who care to reupload the firmware file that they've tried and tested?

Appreciate it
I will test tonight.  I dont have an HDMI monitor here at the office.

For those of you who have tested, are you getting an uncompressed signal through HDMI?
I mean, does the recorded video look flat as an uncompressed video should be (like the videos that the Black Magic camera produces)?

Thanks everyone. I hope it makes me a better photographer hahaha

Congratulations!

Great job advertising iPhone camera to!
I just got my iPhone5 and I think in some respects produces better jpegs than my first digital 8MP Rebel.
Dang, was it THAT bad of a photo?
I actually shot it with my 5d3 and 100mm macro.
In my car using natural light. I thought it was a good photo :-(

I think he was commenting on the "iPhone 4S camera" in your signature below your posts :)

do you complain about the depreciation of your car after you drive it off the dealerships lot? because that is alot worse than what any of the camera companies are doing.

this is not a new trend....its the primary reason i dont buy camera gear within the first year of its release. sry you feel burned, but this is how it goes and its been this way for a while.

chalk it up to a learning experience and show a little patience next time.

Which car are you talking about?
By the way, many people know cars will depreciate and for the most part you can pretty much KNOW how much in how long.
Did you know that this camera would loose over 25% of it's value in 6 months?
With the car, you can make a decision based on an educated assumption.
