EOS Bodies - For Video / IPB vs ALL-I settings
« on: May 22, 2012, 03:08:11 AM »
Has anyone done any extensive comparison about choosing between these two settings other than the fact that one produces much larger files. The manual says it is easier to edit in post.

The camera store has finally put out the last part of their comparison, for video and the 5& wins hands down.

EOS Bodies / Loss in Resale Value of 5D Mk3
« on: May 16, 2012, 07:15:59 PM »
Shouldnt Canon be somehow more responsible in this Light Leak issue - even if its not an major issue - they have made it a big enough issue by statements they have issued along with affected serial numbers. New buyers dont seem interested in purchasing any of the 1X or 2X serial models. So we early adopters have been penalized by what something Canon is totally responsible for. If you tried to resell your camera that you bought last month you may have already lost a couple of hundred dollars because of the light leak issue. Apart from setting the price of the new Mk3 out of the reach (esp when compared with the D800) they have now reduced our investment, and dont seem to care.

EOS Bodies - For Video / Philip Bloom Comparison 5d3 vs D800 vs D4

I have not seen anyone discuss this review:

While he does not outright declare a winner - I think he prefers the 5d Mk3 followed by the D4.

EOS Bodies / Eye Fi and 5D Mk iii
« on: April 29, 2012, 09:47:15 PM »
Conducting this poll to see how popular the Eye Fi Card is with the 5D Mk iii. There is a notion that they Eye Fi Cards could be responsible for the Error 80 Shutter lock ups experience by some 5D Mk iii users, Even when not being written to.

EOS Bodies / 5D Mk iii Availablility What does it mean?
« on: April 03, 2012, 03:07:04 PM »
I am not one who preordered. When Amazon and B&H has the words "in stock" what does this mean? Its available for immediate shipping and you will get it and B & H had the Kit version "instock" however when i tried to order it from B & H, there was a credit card glitch. By the time it was available on Monday it went from "instock" to "Preorder Limited quantity" and Amazon went to "Ships in 1 to 2 months". My question: did anyone order and receive this camera last week from either Amazon or B & H and received it?

I came across this review on Amazon and i had to laugh. It gave a sense of the seriousness and a reality check of this 5DM3 phenomenon weve all went through here on Canon Rumors. What is amusing is that most of the commenters on the review were pissed of at the review or even thought the guy was serious!
