I'm an amateur photographer and understand enough of the basics about colors to use a colorimeter to calibrate my monitor, but I'm not very deep on the subject. I have a Canon PIXMA iP4600 printer. Details at URL below:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_ip_series/pixma_ip4600#FeaturesI got a Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II through a current B&H rebate program which after rebate will cost me $14 or I can sell it on eBay for roughly $200. The only clear advantage I can see is I can print 13x19 inch prints. I don't need 100 year archiving - I print pictures and put them on my wall or give them to family/friends. I would like to print 13x19, but then I went to OfficeMax and printed a 13x19 inch print for $1.50. Now that was a photo taken by someone else and it wasn't a good picture to compare quality. So my question is...
Should I keep the Pro9000 Mark II - will it print better pictures than the iP4600 or OfficeMax?
