I'm concerned about the locking wheel not being strong enough.

I use a carry strap that attaches to the tripod mount and I would hate to see my camera fall to its death.

I'm curious to see how the bokeh compares between the 40mm and the 50mm so could you please put together a direct comparison (scene for scene) under a variety of conditions?

Bonus Challenge: Include the 85mm 1.8 USM in this comparison.

If what you hope for turns out to be true, I might sell my 5D Mark 3 and buy one of these entry level FF just out of spite.

If this entry-level FF camera has the same noise sensitivity as the 5D3, a "silent" shooting mode, and options for setting minimum ISO/shutter speed, I'll surely be getting one.
