Lenses / A few words on Adorama's customer service

Hi Everyone

I just want to share my experience, almost a month ago I pull the trigger buying the EF 85 1.2L lens from Adorama via Amazon, everything was perfect until last week, when a $200 price drop appears, so... I sended an email asking if they have a price protection service, or something like that.

The legendary Helen Oster answer and after a few emails I got a $200 dlls gift certificate in my hands... Super easy, no problems at all.

I Just want to share with you guys this, because is the kind of "details" that make us keep "loyal' as customers

Lenses / Canon 85L 1.2 vs Sigma 85 1.4... Has anyone tried both?

Hi Everybody!

I just sell my 24-70L and get a 35L, I love the new lens but I'm missing a fast prime between 35L and 135L...

Sigma 85 1.4 have stellar reviews, fast focus, excellent IQ... and the canon 85L... well, its the 85L  , the only issues are price and focus speed (maybe weight, but I really don't mind that).

Has anyone tried both? 

The canon focus is really that slow?

How those lenses focus in the dark?

I already have searched a lot of reviews, but I want some experiences from people of this forum

EOS Bodies / One friend want to Buy my 24-70L... but...

Hi Everyone!

Background: I have 17-40L, 24-70L, 135L and 70-300L, yesterday pulled the trigger with the 35L... so its on the way...

BUT... yesterday a friend of mine wants to buy me my 24-70L... I am tempted, it will be another step into the "all prime lens" way.  I'm tempted to save for the 85L... honestly the 24-70 is a nice lens, but it don't have WOW factor that the 135L have.

Its something that I want to do... sell it... but first I really wanted to "Try" a wedding or an event with only primes, so Im kind of nervous to sell it and later miss it... for the moment will be 35L - 135L, and 17-40 for the wide shots...

Someone has done this exchange?

EOS Bodies / 5D mkIII image "Dust" after impact

Hi everyone

Last friday I was doing a night photo session and by accident someone push my tripod with mi 5d mkIII on it  , the height of the tripod was about 3-4 feets and the camera landed on concrete... that little mini heart attack... so I check it out...

On/Off... ok
Focus... ok
Shutter... ok

Everything was working ok, so I just take a deep breath, coursed myself and continue shooting, next day I went to the beach and carry the camera with me...

I Just downloaded the pics and noticed on a photo some "dust"... continue checking and all the pics have that same dark spots in the same places... tracking the pictures, these dots appreared just after the impact...

I already did the "clean sensor" several times and the spots are in the same place, shoot with another lenses... the same, even shoot with mirror lock, the dots are there...

Can anyone help me??

Did this happened to someone??

Lenses / Canon 24-70L vs primes (24L, 35L etc)

I everyone!!

I currently own a 7D, 24-70L, 50 1.4 and 135L, I really like mi 24-70L, its super sharp and love the IQ...

The 135L is the new member of the family  , after used it I'm shocked with the IQ of the Prime L lens... my question is:

It is noticeable the IQ "jump" from a 24-70L zoom to a 24LII prime, keep my 50... and maybe an 85L???

Someone has been in this situation??

(Btw: You guys have a really nice community here    have been around a long time without been a member)
