What a great image, they are so beautiful! By the time I get back up to the Cape this year, they'll already be gone! Hope you can grab some more soon! Really nice!

I was sneaking up on this snowy when he took off. Luckily I had a second to refocus and shoot. I was very surprised it came out well.
A sunbird with my trusty 100-400 which is way much sharper on my 5D3 than my 6D and 600D.
Conventional wisdom is you've got to show the bird's eyes and preferably with a catch light in 'em or the photo is a failure. In this case, I beg to differ.
