Canon Refurb   :D

http://shop.usa.canon.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10051_10051_309850_-1

and if you have another old canon laying around you can see if you can get the Canon Loyalty Program (866)-443-8002 (call them for details) to kick in more of a discount off the refurb price.  It's still got a 90 day warranty with Canon and since it's a backup/secondary camera I think it would suit your needs quite well.

I looked at the revolver but went with the PL-220 http://www.kata-bags.us/bumblebee-220-pl-for-2-pro-dslr-up-to-8-lenses-500mm and I love it.  Carry a gripped 5D MK ii with Kirk L bracket and a 135 F2 mounted, a 7D with a 100-400 mounted, a 24-70 MK i, a 50 1.4 and 2 flash heads in it with extra room to spare.  Pack is very well made and not bad to hike around with for a couple of hours with it on your back.

One of the best ways to relieve stress.

Got mine from 2filter.com it was still a 4 or so month wait.

DPP, adjusted white balance and exposure, upped vibrance and contrast a bit, adjusted layers and cropped a small part.  Gorgeous animals.

Software & Accessories / Re: Good GND filter to go with new Lee system

I've had the Lee grad kit (soft) for almost a year and the big stopper for about 6 months.  Love the quality, very durable (big stopper is glass so don't drop it)  All come in decent packaging but I've added an external plastic case to put them in when I travel.  They are often in short supply (finally got mine from 2filter.com).  Will be using them on the north shore of Minnesota next weekend shooting ice floes, can't wait.

Thanks for the advice, we're in Page for 2 days (got my lottery ticket for the Wave) and for upper and lower Antelope Canyon.  Very excited.

I'm looking at picking up a used 30D or 40D and convert it to infrared just for something fun to play with.

We're planning a 16 day trip to the southwest this summer.  After seeing this picture I'm adding Canyonlands to the list of places to see.

I keep everything in a Kata Bumblebee PL-220 (except the tripod) and it's almost always with me.

I used a black beer coozie, black straws and thin cardboard to make a grid for my flash.  Crunches down pretty well in my camera bag and it was basically free.

Picked up a 5d Mark ii (wanted full frame for portraits) didn't like the cramped feel of the 6d or the missing joysitck.
50mm 1.4 & B+W filter
Kata PL-220 pack to replace my Lowepro
Couple of flashes and wireless triggers (starting to get into flash)
