I'd suggest losing the hooker blue eye shadow and using a color that ties into the scene. Would love to see more from this series, perhaps with her looking down a bit? I for one don't think there's any 'dearth', I like the quantity! I would buy her a sandwich though. Yeah, level that background.

I would drop the 100 f/2.
Exchange the 5DC for the smallest crop body you can work with  (ergonomics) i.e small hands, T3i…..large hands 60D/7D
Going with the 60D/7D keeps the batteries all alike. Important to me. Not to some others. So there for you can use the same batteries and a single charger, that saves space and weight eh?

Site Information / Re: My previous account just disappeared

I once had mine deactivated by submitting a link to Induro rebates and extended warranty info. The kind of thing you find everyday here for more respected products by more respected members. Lame. Oh well. I guess if the 'right' person complains...

Light table and loupe are indispensable. However before you dive into home scanners you may want to consider setting up account at a lab which has a drum scanner. It might not be too expensive. I know having an account at my local lab with a photography biz license the cost of drum scanning is well worth it and outweighs purchasing a soso scanner for home. get a small table and a loupe to start as you mentioned. have you looked at Nikon film scanners? They blow away the flatbeds.

Noise over 800? Easy to part with for a 5D3 for me.

Tell us where you think you might remember where you could have possibly heard something about this vaporware.

I personally just use my hands. But that's just me.

I'm not shooting mine, it's sitting right next to the last Twinkie.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: Amazon vs B&H for purchase?
« on: March 03, 2013, 06:18:27 PM »
Depends, perhaps you would like to speak to a product specialist or partake in the various contests through B&H. Amazon may sell what you want but B&H is a fantastic organization with a wealth of products, information and support for folks in our craft.

If you are positive that you will move to FF then you have a few choices but none of them stellar. I had a couple 17-40's and finally got around to a 16-35 which I really enjoy. Albeit it's not the sharpest in the corners and does suffer from a bit of flare but still a very good lens. The 17-40 is troublesome in low light of course and suffers from similar flare and corner issues.
If you are going to stay with a crop for any length of time I strongly urge you to rent or buy a Canon 10-22. Great value and it's shortcomings are easily corrected in Post. Retains it's value well and you'll recoup 95% in a sale when you go to FF.

How about a 70-200 f.4? They're going for $474 refurb at Canon USA. Superior in every way.

5d3, Tamron 70-200 2.8 VC.

Can I use a Canon 1.4 TC III with this lens?

I cannot find out if Canon tc's are compatible with 3rd Party EOS lenses anywhere. Of course there's a grundle of info about 3rd party TC's on Canon lenses.

Thanks
