The 400 II is best...if you need a 400mm lens. If you need a 300mm lens, the 300 II is best.  If you need a 50mm lens, they both suck.

neuro's in top form lately!

Q8-MC - Your question makes no sense. There is 100mm difference, and that grows when you start to use TCs. What do you want to shoot, why and what is your budget?

I want to shoot wildlife and I have around $10000

If both of them are best. Why they (Canon Company) put a high price between them.

I just compared between Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM and Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM and I saw no difference between them. Could you guys tell me if there is a different or not?

Street & City / Re: Question about long exposure and filters
« on: May 01, 2013, 04:33:25 AM »
Hey, I'm in Asia so it's morning here. Later today, I will try long exposure for the first time. I went to pick up a grey filter last week, but they only had 3-stop filters. I only picked up one and didn't give it more thought. Now having read up a bit on it, I see that I would probably need more. I won't by another filter today so my question to you is the following, can I stack a CPL to the grey filter?

I will anyway give it a try, but are there any particular things I need to look out for?

The best brand for ND filters is Lee. There are different kinds of ND Filters such as Big Stopper, ND soft, ND hard and the natural ND.

If you want to do a motion for clouds in the mid of the day, the Lee Big Stopper will help you to do it.
Sorry about my poor English
Good Luck

EOS Bodies / Re: Patent: EF 400 f/4 DO IS II
« on: April 15, 2013, 04:56:32 AM »
Sorry guys. what does mean DO? and what the difference between DO and IS?
DO is Diffractive Optics, and does not replace IS :) allows the use of extremely low dispersion glass, which also has a low refractive index. The low dispersion reduces color fringes.
