Keep it and wait.

It would work, probably will end up having to buy from Lee themselves, Amazon rarely stock these type of filters, even Hitech or Singh Ray are hard to find.

Both good bodies, does the improved AF and speed justify the cost. Is your photographic work based on sports/wildlife/action mainly?

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: Is this a good time to buy 1D X?
« on: July 31, 2012, 12:02:23 PM »
I've had mine for the past 3 weeks, and after passing through 3 previous 1D bodies, a 5DII, a 5DIII and a 7D, I can tell you - go for it, if it is within your budget, it gives you a multitude of options, whether sports/wildlife (its main focus on speed) and also other general uses, be it landscape, studio work, well maybe not very good for candid street photography (way too noticeable!)

Nothing as yet I'm afraid!

Any ideas for selling in Europe neuro?

Lenses / Re: Your 70-200 f/2.8L IS II...
« on: July 28, 2012, 04:55:06 PM »
The one lens I will never regret buying, love its sharpness across the whole focal range, including wide open at f/2.8. Bought for around 1900 euro a year ago from Europe, cons some people find it big and heavy but after a while I do not even notice it, it is on the 1D-X as my standard walk-about lens 75% of the time.

First run with a 1-D X... that burst speed came in handy!

EOS Bodies / Re: An IS Question- position 1 or 2?
« on: July 28, 2012, 01:05:58 AM »
Position 1, 2 is for panning and horizontal movement mostly.

This is not a 135L replacement but a 135 SF replacement.

The 135L replacement would be to increase the aperture to f1.8 and adds IS w/o losing IQ.

+2... that would make the lens an absolute beauty. The 135 mm usually takes the place of my 70-200mm as my walkabout lens. Love that lens to bits

EOS Bodies / Re: New Upgraders (to FF) - what is your experience
« on: July 14, 2012, 11:55:54 AM »
Moved from a 7D to a 5DIII and a 1DX... will never go back. The extra weight I can carry, the jump in IQ is worth it.

Lenses / Re: Prime VS Zooms.
« on: July 13, 2012, 03:54:17 PM »
Common misconception nowadays that primes are sharper than zooms, but they give versatility in composition and are sharp.... ask a photojournalist if he works with a prime or prefers that god 70-200 f/2.8...

Definitely the CP. 70-200, an ultrawide, backup batteries and spare CF cards and backup hard-drive space.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / 1DX silent mode?
« on: July 13, 2012, 03:14:36 PM »
Does the 1DX have a silent shutter shooting mode similar to that implemented on the 5D III? Well, not completely silent that is. Although if you want to use silent mode with a big spanking 1D body pointed at someone during street shooting, no amount of silent shooting will cover what you are doing pointing such a tank at someone IMHO!

2000 eur 2 years ago, and will never regret it. I still kept the 135 mm f/2 though. Bokeh, sharpness of both is outstanding.
