Just fantastic (irrespective of my next sentence). I am wondering how you achieved the balance of exposure in the foreground and background. If it is not bracketed and stacked - then I am just spellbound.

Shot with RAW and edited in Lightroom w/ basic adjust highlights down and shadows up and then adjust whites and blacks, let the screenshot tell rest of it:

Would've looked really great with a longer exposure.

Yeah, I agree with you but didn't had my ND w/ me  Actually I didn't have anything else than camera with me at that evening, just took it with me when I left to outside to take fresh air, walk and relax.

I really like the composition and colors!
I personally think the image could be a bit sharper, but I still like it very much.

It could have been bit sharper at trees but EF-S 17-55 ain't the sharpest lens out there. But the main subject was sunset and cast from the sun to that rock.

14L just doesn't look or work right for landscape photography.  Plus it's too expensive and does too little.

You are right but sometimes you need that extra wide lens but rarely, usually 16-40 is enough for landscapes.

Landscape lens, any wide angle like 14mm prime, 16-35mm, 17-40mm.

Canon has something to offer what Nikon doesn't, one clearest reason why I choice Canon over Nikon.
For example line-up of FAST primes, but Nikon does have better flashes but thank god we can use PocketWizards to fire those Nikon flashes with Canon cameras

So we just created a war here between 6D and 5D2 But thanks for all those feedbacks, I'll start figuring my next move to FF.

Lightroom 4 is all what you need, personally I try to use 99% of editing with Lightroom if it needs even more processing I switch to Photoshop.

What I got in my mind to figuring this was get 5D2 with Sigma 35 F1.4 and 24-105 F4L.
That Sigma and 24-105 fills my needs for now pretty much all the way because most of shooting what I do now is just family/portraits and some snowy landscapes.
And later on add 16-35L or 17-40L and 70-200L II, and change 25-105 to 24-70L Mk1.
