Software & Accessories / Re: Compactflash Card: SanDisk vs. Lexar...

I have always used Lexar since 2003 and have never had any problems. Even the one that went thru the washing machine still works.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: Anyone still using a 20D?

I recently upgraded to the 5D3 from the 40D. You will see a tremendously huge difference in your photos. I also have a 20D that served me very well for the time.

Take a look at the Fuji X10, the X100s little brother. I hear good things.

hahaha x10
no

mine was fine until it had problems then the dis-service of fuji is really something to behold
the crap fuji service is why i dont have and X10 anymore and now have an EOS M instead

thats surprising to hear. I sent my x100 in to be fixed for the aperture problem and got it back within a week.

Lenses / Re: Help me choose a lens

I think the 6D 24-105 combo will be a good choice. I just got the 5D3 along with that lens because at the time it was very cheap with the kit. It probably wouldnt have been near the top of my lens wishlist but the price made me get it. turns out I love love love that lens. super sharp, great color. and I dont think the F/4 will be an issue since you will have the high iso range on the 6D.

I just upgraded from a 40D to the 5D3 and noticed a huge difference in the 50 1.2 performance. I really love the lens and feel like I'm finally getting to see its potential. def worth the price.

The 1VHS is the greatest achievement in 35mm film photography period. no other 35mm camera even comes close.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / A lot has changed in 5 years

Yesterday after months of debating I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a 5Dmklll from B&H. Got it today and all I can say is WOW. My first upgrade since my 40D (!) and they are worlds apart. After taking my first shot with it I am blown away and cant believe I waited so long. the focus is amazing. I think I will finally see the true potential of all the L lenses I have been collecting and cant wait to start playing this weekend.
so if there are any holdouts like me left out there, dont wait, buy this camera!

I havent shot squirrels in a while but I used to shoot a lot of them back in my film days. As others have said, shooting wide open to get the fastest shutter speed and nice background blur. But my best advice, bring some peanuts with you! they become surprisingly friendly.
