I will buy this as a landscape lens if it's as sharp as the 24-70L mkII. I don't shoot many landscapes at 2.8 and the f4 translates into weight savings.

If for some bizarre reason you feel compelled to bring your camera to a wedding you are not paid to shoot, please do not be like any of the "Uncle Bobs" in that thread. It makes it more difficult for the paid professional to do their job.

It's an impressive engineering feat, but the sample images didn't look much different or better than an 85L.

I could only get it to happen with the lens cap on, so this won't be an issue for me unless I'm shooting in total darkness.

Is there any way to set the default zoom when reviewing images and zooming in? I'd like for it to start so that the whole image is displayed, then I have to force it to zoom in. Currently it starts at a zoom level that only displays about 60% of the image.

I put my order in around 6pm on March 2nd. Based off what people who ordered earlier were saying about May delivery I decided to look around. I searched for "camera" on google maps in the metro areas close to my state and found a store that will be shipping it to me on Monday.
Many of the local stores were sold out, but I think if you keep calling you can find one.

Does anyone know if you have more flexibility setting the points the AEB are taken at? For example, with 7D you can do -1, 0, +1, or -2, 0 +2.

I think the weather sealing and dynamic range increase (if there is any) would make this a much better landscape camera than the 5DII.

It would be really nice to have that really low iso for landscape work that needs a ND filter. It would also be great for balancing daylight with flash.

I was really excited for this camera until I saw the price.
Dual memory cards is something I need and I would have paid $2900 for those new specs, but for $3500 it's going to need to have weather sealing and a few more stops of DR for me to reconsider.
