It's great deal if you don't have to pay sales tax. Everything I bought refurbished was a two hundred and under close to getting a brand one. But I still saved a few bucks on purchasing refurbished items.

Refurbished lenses and flash I purchased came through with no problems, looked brand new. I'm surprise the flash is still strong after a year of heavy use and over heating it a few times. I also called for price adjustment and they gave me one. So overall I had a good experience with canon refurbs.

I have to say, Helen takes care of business. She helped me by sending my questions through the right channels for a great deal. Also, you can find her here and on other forums making things right. Helen is A+ in my book!

They just updated stock. Things are selling fast.

It can work in M mode, just change your custom control "shutter butt. Half press and AF-ON button" both to "metering and AF start."

And you still can use back button focus.

I'm using a iPad Air and iphone 5.

This worked for me. I changed the custom control af-on to a different function. Then I changed it back to "metering and af start," suddenly the eos remote focusing button started to work again.

Something to also consider, an Einstein with cyber commander. You can use the Einstein to take pictures in full sun instead of using your quad holder that wouldn't have enough power. You can also use the Einstein for fill in a medium sized venue and your 600 on top of your camera. This is what I want next.

I have two 600s and ste3, I found that group mode is awesome and I don't have to keep manually changing my flashes on my umbrella or soft box. I can change within seconds on the ste3 which is a time saver. You can pick ettl, manual or both in group mode if you like.

I don't use the RT setup everyday, but when I do, it never lets me down. No problems on flash exposure or wireless connection.

I would try the rice trick for a 1-3 days. Hopefully that works, if not, CPS.

I forgot to mention, I still get the start up screen saying "Communication with Canon LP-E6 battery is irregular. Continue to use this battery?" when using aftermarket battery. There is a 1 second pause after pressing OK, the lcd will go blank then normal. I'm using a Zeikos battery.

When I use a canon battery, there is no pause. The lcd is on and ready for use.

I have updated to 1.1.4 from 1.1.3 and all my AF adjustments didn't change. Also tried my non oem battery and it works, the battery on the lcd says its fully charged, not empty.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: 10D, 100D or 700D?

The 10D does have a built-in flash. I know cause I still use my 10D time to time.

For those interested, I saw this in another forum saying that the Yongnuo transmitter will be out in a couple of days.

Third Party Manufacturers / Re: Best tablet for on-location preview

what's neat, after a shoot and I was breaking down my lights and putting gear away, I gave the ipad air and have my friends preview the photos. They were amazed to get to see the shots.

My 6d is neat to show raw files on the ipad right away.

Take a look at the Dell venue 8 that runs Microsoft 8. It's goes for around $300.

Maybe for the first five you do, surprise the client with a 8x10 or 11x17 print few hours after the shoot. Have a printer in your car and some cheap frames. The married couple can display it at the after party with some of your cards. Might get more clients that way.

Please don't be like those Craigslist photographers I hear of that give lousy pics and pass them selves as professionals.
