EOS-M / Re: First Images of the Canon EOS M3
« on: February 04, 2015, 01:59:51 AM »

With the lens on, the grip is not going to take up any real space. With size increase 3 to 4mm in  width and length is not going to be a problem. Just hope that the thickness does not increase . Also hope that that Canon will put a bigger battery inside the grip.

Maybe you are right. Probably will need to wait to see it in the flesh to see how much of an increase it is.

Depending on the price of the M3 a used A7 may be a better purchase for increase image quality.

Disappointed in the increased size and the grip. They should of kept it simplistic like the original.

Only thing they really needed was increased AF speed, next gen sensor and maybe AV, TV, M and P as part of the main dial. Also a dedicated switch to turn on and off the touchscreen. I would of happily upgraded.

Instead they listened to too many people and came up with a camera that is half full and half empty. The price will probably increase substantially now.

EOS Bodies / Re: NEW CAMERA - EOS 80D?

My guess is a 6d mark 2.

Has to be full frame to compete against Nikon offerings and obviously has wifi as it is pictured with the connect station.

EOS Bodies / Re: A New EOS Pro Body With 46mp Next Month? [CR1]

Sorry to hurt the fanboys, but Canon is not releasing any DSLRs this year.
But this site runs on rumors so give it a couple of weeks and there will be a new rumor for the next M, Rebel or 1 series in that order.

Canon still milking the 18mp sensor. Probably another 2 or 3 more bodies left before its truly retired.

My guess is that we will see $2000 for the lens kit combo. If you need the camera just pick up the deal. Its only $100 dollars difference and you have a chance to use it for holiday snaps.

Did this sneak up on CR.

Surprised they couldn't see this coming 1 week out.

Time to get some more sources from the motherland.

This sort of thing happens all the time especially with electronics. The best thing to do is stop looking once you have purchased the product.

EOS Bodies / Re: SL1 as a "travel" body

SL1 is not that much smaller than a t4i. I would get the t4i for the better feature set instead. If you want small go mirrorless.

SL1 and Rebel series I consider in the same category. They would use a similar sized bag when you are transporting it.

Third Party Manufacturers / Re: Off Brand: Nikon Announces the Df

Are you listening Canon? Give us something to discuss else we will just feature your competitors on a Canon website. We are desperate for real content to keep visitors returning to this site.

I wonder if the mirror boxes are from the same supplier as Nikon.

4 bad pixels out of how many! Do you buy cameras to take test shots or make pictures.

EOS-M / Re: SD card recommendations for EOS-M
« on: July 30, 2013, 06:55:39 PM »
I purchased a 32GB Sony SD card for 20 dollars at Fry's.

It can handle the HD video at max settings. I also have a class 4 16Gb sandisk which was too slow for video. Personally I don't care about brand and would just go for the speed and capacity of the card.

EOS-M / Re: ebay EOS M adapters?
« on: July 12, 2013, 01:03:09 PM »
GO OEM,

the price saving is not worth the hassle of incompatibility with a future lens you may purchase. the adapter will also have a better resale as well if you ever decide to jump ship.

20-50 dollars difference on ebay is just not worth it.
