Lenses / Confused with what lens to get next

Christmas is coming up and I'm looking into buying myself a new lens for my camera. I'm not sure whether or not to buy a better lens than my kit lens or to buy a new lens that will give me a wider range of focal lengths to shoot at. The lenses I'm considering for my 60d are:

Canon 10-22 (I used to have a Tamron 10-24 when I shot nikon but sold it to fund my switch to canon. I miss having such a wide-angle lens now)
Canon 17-40 L (I have an 18-55 IS II and really don't like the IQ of it. I feel like this is a decent decision as it will work well as a standard zoom on my 60d and will be a decent wide-angle if I ever switch to full frame)
Canon 24-105 L (This is a bit of a stretch but if the IQ is much better than the 17-40 then I would prefer it despite the limited focal length on the wide end)

I don't know whether or not I should replace my 18-55 with an L series lens of some kind or just keep it and buy a 10-22 which will expand the focal range I can shoot with. The other lenses I have are the 28mm f/2.8, the 50mm f/1.8 and the 70-200 f/4 L non-IS.

Lenses / Zeiss Planar 50mm 1.4 on Crop Body

I'm interested in buying a new lens this Christmas and I am thinking about the Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 for my Canon 60D. At the moment my 50mm is the Canon EF 1.8 version. After reading some reviews it seems as if the Zeiss isn't all that great and that the corners are soft. My question is if it is a good lens on a crop body seeing that the corner sharpness wouldn't be as bad. Are there other problems with this lens besides corner sharpness? I have no problem with manual focus, if anything I think it looks kind of fun to have more to manually adjust when composing a shot.

Yes, It will be cheaper in production, Just like the 18-55mm kit lens. And just like that 18-55mm kit lens, You won't see many people actually going and Buying this lens for they're current cameras. 

I've been looking for a replacement for my 18-55 and this lens seems somewhat ideal as it fits between the 10-22 and the 70-200 if you have a crop body. I do agree with you otherwise though, I can't see many other reasons for someone to consider this lens other than mine.

why not get a 24-105mm?

Sorry I forgot to mention I'd be considering this lens only if it was cheaper than the 24-105. I'm hoping this costs somewhere between 700-850 and has some kind of other advantage over the 24-105 other than price.

Does anyone have any idea on how this will be priced? I can't see this lens having any particular advantage over the 24-105. Seems like kind of an irrelevant lens unless its cheaper than the 24-105..

Switzerland have a lot of beautiful cities with old buildings.  These are better shot with your existing 18-55, or even the 70-200, to avoid the distortion in the corners.

I definitely agree, I photographed Zürich last year for a school project because I love the architecture of the city so much. You can see a few of the photos I took here (unfortunately I didn't have my Canon yet at the time these were taken) :

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I think I probably will go with the 10-22 because a lot of you suggested it and it does add a lot more to what I have than the other lenses. While I do have a sturdy tripod (Manfrotto 055xprob with a 486rc2 ball head), the website I am renting from does not rent out filters. Will I get by without any filter or is it absolutely essential that I have one? I live in Zürich so I can't use any US wesbites like lensrentals.com. The website I am using is:

Landscape / Best lens for landscapes for a trip to the mountains?

I am planning on going around Switzerland for a week to travel through the alps and photograph scenery and landscapes. I also want to rent a lens that would be best for landscape photography. I have a 60D with an 18-55mm, a 28mm 2.8, a 50mm 1.8 and a 70-200 f/4 L. Here are the lenses I am considering to rent:

Canon 10-22mm (I had a Tamron 10-24 when I used to shoot Nikon and absolutely loved the wide angle)

Canon 17-40mm L (I don't know if this is wide enough but I'm considering buying this lens in a few months to replace my 18-55)

Canon 16-35mm L (Not sure if its worth spending extra to get this one, especially if I'm shooting landscape where I'll be using narrow apertures)

Canon 24-105 L (Would this be a decent idea as a general purpose zoom or do you think I should just try to go for something more wide angle?)

If there are going to be any additions to movie mode I think it will probably just be putting the 70d up to date with the 650d (STM technology and so).

Thanks for the replies everyone. It is complicated for me to get funding because I'm only an 11th grader acting as the school photographer for the year to meet my service requirements to receive my IB Diploma. I doubt my school would be willing to pay any money for anything. Facebook does seem like the best idea but I will have to ask someone at my school if I can receive any credits for doing it.

I've recently become the sports photographer for my school and I am interested in finding a good blog or website that I could upload the photos of games that I photograph. I'm looking for something free to upload to and would also like to be able to have a custom URL to some extent (e.g. customname.website.com). I'd also like to be able to make an album/page for each game I photograph. I originally was planning on using Flickr but the fact it limits you to 200 photos isn't going to work out for me.
