EOS Bodies - For Stills / DxOMark "Perceptual Megapixel"

Anyone else see this article?
It makes it seem that current sensors are out-resolving lenses which I dont believe is the case.

Wanted a monopod that I could use as a hiking stick.  This is the most reasonably priced one i found.  Does anyone have experience with any hiking pole/monopod combinations?

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Question about the diffraction limit of sensors
« on: October 12, 2012, 01:58:13 PM »
So i was looking up diffraction limits and i noticed that on my crop body, 60D the diffraction limit is f/6.9.

What does this mean in practical terms?  If a lens i have is sharpest between f/8-f/11 should i still keep the aperture greater than f/6.9 because of this limit?

Thanks guys
