For all of you, I am not sure if this is a correct source or not, but Taiwanese Photographer Kevin Wang, who was lucky enough to have the chance to test the 5Dmk3, just posted a video of the 5dmk3 commercial video on his facebook, it seems that the specs are:

28.1 megapixel, 8.2fps continuious shooting mode, iso range 50-12800 (I assume this is including h1&h2), digic 5 processor, 45 cross typed af points and similar body design with the mk2 but with slight adjustment ergonomically. ~

Anyone got any info on that one?? please correct me if i am wrong~

Face recognition metering - gimic, nice gimic but that is all

Gimic? It can be a very usefull tool for extreme situations where light changes rapidly between shots.

I have just seen / read a first impression on this so called "gimic". Looks like a very nice feature to have.

I've been told this is a 7D mark II and it is indeed a full frame camera, it will go up in price close or beyond where de 5D was.. around $3k.. this camera will replace the 5D as a digital cinema SLR.. The 5D mark III will be aimed at still photography again, no priority on video features but it seems canon will finally put in a professional autofocus system, 1D style or 7D style autofocus remains to be seen.

I'd say CR2.5

I like the sound of this, but releasing 7D2 before 5D2 does not make any sense.

The 5D2 is quite older than the 7D.

People are screaming right now for a 5D3, not a 7D2.

to be honest all these rumor sites seem to have no clue at all.

Februar,  no august, no december, no march, no july, no september.... wait i received word about november.

Thats because there are too many wannabe sources. I wish the wannabes could just shut up and go sit in a corner and let the real sources give us the info.

Anyway, the 5D3 is overdue (imo). I have no idea what Canon is doing. Perhaps the earthquake in Japan and the floods in Thailand hit them harder than we thought.

Improvement only in jpeg files does not matter to me and MANY other photographers, because we only shoot in RAW.

Yes yes yes! Please let it be so!

I am dreaming of a 20 - 25 MP dynamic range monster. Something that allows photographers to underexpose "like crazy", and still be able to bring all the shadowed areas back to light, without sacrificing too much IQ.

This is one of my favorite shooting styles. Works quite well on the 5D2, but the results could be better!

Let me guess. It can detect where your eye is looking at and pick AF sensor closest to what ever you are looking at?

Who else thinks Canon has no new lenses to show at the upcoming CES?

It is only one day left now before it starts, and Canon still haven't said a single word about showing new lenses at the event. This makes me doubt that they have anything to show.

I sure hope that I am wrong.
