Canon should sue Canon. The 6D is same as the 5D2.

Haven't used the 24-70mm II yet, but here's what I can tell you. The only time I will sell my 35mm 1.4 is when its replaced by the mark II. I absolutely love that lens!

EOS Bodies / Re: Adorama is selling 5d3 for $2745 on eBay now

Good price, but I'm just gonna skip on the 5D III all together and look forward to the big megapixel cameras on the horizon. Not enough improvements to make the purchase for the portrait work that I do.

United States / Re: Broken tripod collar
« on: August 02, 2012, 07:19:09 PM »
My ring (for my v1 lens) is broken EXACTLY the same way! I broke mine last month and have been trying to fix it at home. I tried glue, but it won't tighten. I try tape and it actually was able to stay in place better. I sent it to a place to repair... $175!!! They said that canon sold there's for 105... (I had another part broken on it also)
I hear you man. I was able to buy a genuine mint condition collar for $50 on eBay
. But I must say I was pretty miserable up until that point. I had to wait about 2 weeks to find one.

EOS Bodies / Re: How much will the 5d3 cost at the end of 2012?
« on: July 04, 2012, 03:13:11 PM »
This is how I look at it. If I save $500 and have no warranty, I can use that $500 towards repair if needed. But the chance of a new camera needing repair within 1 year of use is very rare, so I rather take that risk and save the money. And its ever more rare to have a repair within a year costing more than $500.
The cameras they sell are probably imported, but they are made in the same Canon factory, the same way as the USA models. And ofcourse, they offer a 30 day money back guarantee.

How about how much will the 5D3 be from Authorized Canon Retailers at the end of the year?

Well lets see, you can buy it now from an authorized dealer for $3218. So end of the year, around $3000 I'd guess.

Lenses / Re: Canon's new 24-70 2.8L II ship date
« on: July 02, 2012, 11:20:10 AM »
Hi I am new to this forum I want to ask you let say if I buy 24-70 II lens and I am using Canon T4i what will be the Pros & Cons ? Please advice

Pros:
Excellent sharpness (according to MTF charts)
Constant aperture @ f/2.8
Future proof if you upgrade to full frame
Good tele range (70mmX1.6=112mm)
Pro Build quality

Cons:
Expensive
Heavy
May not be wide enough for crop sensor camera (24mmX1.6=38.4mm widest)
No STM motor (slower and noisier focus in auto focus video function compared to STM lenses)
82mm filter (If you plan on using filters, it'll cost you more)
No IS
