I've used this since December and really like it, seems strong, is adjustable mounts in tripod mount but you can screw a tripod onto it, also has a back up fabric thing that ties onto another spot for add saf

+1 for the carry speed. I have the double strap and just love it. But buy from http://www.carryspeed.com/ website directly because they have the newer design with c3 plate.

This is a rumor...you might not see a Nikon like that either.

I bet you that the rumor is pretty close to being true, and it'll ship before the 1D X is shipped in mass quantities to the general public.

And when will they ship the D800 in mass quantities? lol

Seems like eBay has finally blocked the seller from selling anything else for now. I think he has sold ~$50K of stuff in 3 days. In any case, its a little too early to file claim with eBay. When I try to file, it says to wait till June 08. My purchase below:

I found this seller on eBay selling new 5D II kit with 24-105mm lens + other accessories for $2399.99.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/200765254988?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I actually bought the item from him 3 days ago, but the seller states the shipping time is 15 business days. I figured the worst that could happen is I don't get my item and file with eBay and get my money back. But not sure how long the eBay process will take, so I may not have my money for a while if something goes wrong.

I have been following the seller's activities for a few days and so far he has sold about 15 of these (according to his 'feedback left for others' tab. I also noticed he sells either 3 at a time or 5 at a time, and lists them again once its sold out. He has no prior history of selling expensive equipments. So thats where my suspicion comes from. He is registered in Australia, but item seems in to be California...hmmm. Anyway, what do you guys think, is it legit??

I use both the pixel king and cyber commander simultaneously to adjust my speedlites and Einsteins indepedently. Works great!

If the tape was part of the original design to combat the light leak issue (before it became an issue), I doubt anyone would've complained.

"duct tape"?

I can feel the collective intelligence of the room dropping by the minute

Actually, it was pretty intelligent....for their bottom line. Imagine the cost of re-disigning hardware and then fixing all the current units. This was a very cost effective solution, and if you don't look under the hood, you can't even tell!

I am having one of those delivered to me today. If I see such issue, its going straight back for an exchange. I heard of decentering and other such quality issues with some copies of this lens, but nothing like you have described. Sounds like something is causing the aperture blade to be hesitant in opening and closing.

Non-Jersey residents can save tax when they preorder from places like Abes of Maine and Buydig. Buydig is saying that the 5D III ships in 10 days. Abes of Maine offers a $15.00 off coupon (code:LOYALTY15).
