I'm holding out for the holiday sales. I'm sure it will still be a great camera in a few months/years 

How low do you think the holiday sales will get?

No one knows for sure. I don't have a number that I'm looking for it to hit. Just to reiterate, I did say 'months/years' 

True. Well I had planned to get this camera by the end of the year. Just wondering whether it would be advisable to go with this now, or wait for the holidays.

Does anyone know if Canon/retailers usually have price drops this big for the holidays?
