I normally shoot between the 17 and 24 range of focal. I don't mind MF because i normally do it on the 17-40. The main down with the TS lens are the filters, that i use a lot.

The 17-40 is good has i said, but the corners are not so fantastic. I thought the Zeiss because mainly because sharpness and IQ

Hi Guys

I m a hobbyist and my current gear is: Canon 5d2, canon 7D, 17-40 F4, Sigma 35 1.4 and 70-200 IS 2.8 II.

I m pleased with the results of the 17-40 for Landscapes, but it`s not stelar. I`m considering the Zeiss 21 2.8, any thoughts?

Thanks
João

Thanks Guys.

My main "dislike" about he 50mm is that i`going to Marocco and the streets are narrow and dark, so the focal length of the 50mm could be to tight, that`s why i was thinking more on the 35mm. I like the versatility of the 24-70 but my main question is if the 2.8 is enough.

Hello Guys,

I`m in the process of choosing my next lens, i Have 3 options:
Sigma 35 1.4
Canon 50 1.4
Canon 24-70 2.8 II

The propose of the lens is for street photography and portraits. I prefer lens with some wide capability, that can give me versatility and the possibility of larger compositions. My main concern is Image Quality.

Can you give me your thoughts.

Thanks

Thanks for the help. So i will not benefit of the 24-70 on a crop body...

The 17-40 is also good option for urban shooting?

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I want to gear up but i`m in a dilemma, and i m not a professional but photography is my hobbie.

MY current gear is:
Canon 7D
Canon 70-200 2.8 IS II
Tokina 11-16 2.8
Filters: Polarizer b+w 77mm, gnd 0.6 lee

I shoot mainly landscapes with lots of times a human element to give the final touch :) and portraits.

My dilemma is to buy the new canon 24-70 II or make and keep the current gear or buy  another body (5d mark ii) sell the tokina and buy the 17-40,

I would like very mucho to have them both but i don`t have the money to the this investment at the same time.

Any thoughts?
Thanks
