G15 Low Light Test Images

Hi,

I took a series of low light images spanning the complete ISO range of the G15 and posted the nine unretouched CR2 RAW images in a zip file. The lower the file name, the lower the ISO. For example:

IMG_0073 = ISO 80

IMG_0074 = ISO 100

.

IMG_0081 = ISO 12800

I mounted the G15 on a tripod and used the 2 second timer mode for each shot so my hand would not cause camera shake. The camera was in ‘P’ mode. You can download the zip file (~130 meg) containing these RAW images at:

Yes, I was admiring them. 
Lots of noise at ISO 3200, I'm not sure its as good as my wifes G11, but its hard to tell since she uses jpeg.  The switch to cmos will have some advantages, but high ISO noise is not one of them.
