5D mkIII with Tokina 11-16mm tests

Check these out. The Tokina is actually really nice on FF when used at 15-16mm. Not a scientific test. But gets the point across.

I use the same combo but I dont think its worthwhile unless you use the narrowest focal length. Some vignetting is still there but it quite good for a superwide - I imagine its about 10mm at 16 (widest on FF) if my calc is correct.

Yeah I usually use my bower 14mm for my ultra wide stuff but there were a couple guys asking me to show post examples of this combo.

Thanks for validating that.  After the old tests I did on my EOS 1n with my Tokina 12-24 f/4, I was sure that it's replacement the 11-16 f/2.8 would be great on FF at 16mm and work fine on 1.3x from 14-16mm.

So now we know the best least-expensive 16mm f/2.8 FF lens, which will further validate my purchase of a 6D :-).

Right on. Could agree more =-) I excited for that camera. More for the video capabilities and price. My 5D is my baby for photos and i think i'd rather use a 5d3 and 7d for photos than the 5d3 and 6d. But it will be a sweet camera anyway. =-)
