Canberra in October
« on: July 22, 2014, 06:03:26 AM »
Hello wonderful CR members (can you tell already that I want something!!!).
I’m going to be in Canberra in October and I really want to capture as many bird species as I possibly can, I singled out the Jerrabomberra wetlands as an interesting area, can anyone provide me with additional locations which are all central to the lake, I know there are loads of parks, but I want to single out the absolute best areas so I can utilise the time I have.
Many many thanks in advance!!

Just in case anyone’s visiting Canberra and may be interested in a spot of birding, there is a fantastic forum you could follow prior to your trip to help you identify the most active areas with the best sightings, it’s part of the Canberra Ornithologists Group (COG), the forum is under the link “COG chatline archive”

Best of luck
