Is the 5d Mk III price drop official?

It seems that Adorama, B&H and Amazon have been selling the 5d Mk III for USD 3199 since the beginning of the week:

Is this price drop official? Should we expect Adorama-like deals (USD 2750) for the holidays?

Even best buy dropped the price to that. They still say it is just a sale though and that they are trying to compete with online. Either way I bought one. $3750 for the kit seemed pretty good for a retail store with a good return policy
