Gasp! That a full $1k under what mine cost at launch. But we all knew the price would drop quickly, but by this much and so soon? Still, there's no buyers-regret here, it's a great camera and more than earned it's keep in the first week or so. At $3.5k I saw it as good value. At $2.5k it's a genuine bargain.

This sounds like the deal I've been waiting for, but a quick scan of the seller's feedback revealed the following post from a recent 5D mkIII buyer - the lack of warranty or questionable warranty will prevent me from buying, I'll choose to continue to wait patiently for the one that feels right. All may be fine with this seller, but be advised and take into consideration:

They aren't an Authorized Dealer. So it's obvious they're selling grey market cameras, which means you don't get Canon USA warranty.

Since I live in Brazil and Canon USA wouldn't help me much, I just pulled the trigger!
