I'm watching the Amazon price, too - maybe Canon wants to meet the 6d price once it's released? :->

I guess the reason is that now people who don't want the older 5d2 and think that the 5d3 is still overpriced (or just don't want to pay €3000 for a camera body) wait for the 6d - and pros and rich people already got the 5d3, so both reasons combined means a lot less demand.

What I always wonder about how much a camera shop would rebate the price of a 5d3+24-70ii combination = net price ~€4900 - any idea? I have no clue and thus would fail to haggle.

Because of Amazon's enhanced return policy (buy between 01.11. and 31.12. and return till 31.1.) I can wait for another price drop (of course without using the camera) till end of January or keep the camera.
