Will the 6D have video AF

I was wondering if the new EOS 6D that is coming out next month will have video AF much like the Rebel T4i?

The poor handing of video AF is what is stopping me from getting the T4i so I wonder if the 6D will have it - if so I will want to see how that feature works as compared to the Rebel's implentation of it.   Thanks, Tom.

Nope it wont have good video af, in fact it will be worse than the t4i. 6D wont support STM lenses, no phase detection point on the sensor.

The only FullFrame camera with good video AF is the a99.

As I read 6D (WG & N models) instruction manual, it cannot focus during video recording.

Yes, sadly it won't, I though canon would put this in for beginner film makers, but then people would freak out, because the 5d3 is supposed to be the best hdslr for video.
Also, on another poll, the majority of people voted that the 6d's image would look flat due to contrast issues. If you look at canon's test shots, (specifically the lemur one) you'll se what they mean, the 6d could be the new 1d mark iii! But rather than having sketchy af on some bodies, the 6d's contrast detection could be iffy, perhaps this is why canon didn't do video af, apparent

The 6D will support STM lenses. It's that it won't have any AF during video recording. You can still use STM lenses just fine for normal photography and AF before starting to record video using normal Live View AF functionality.

My guess is that video AF will be one way for Canon to keep the crop bodies distinct from the full frame bodies.  Look for it in the 7D2.  Maybe a better system than the T4i. 

I fear that video AF will be the "big" thing in the new 7D2 instead of better low light performance.  Given a choice, I'd rather have the latter.

No AF for video for 6D.  It will be more expensive if it has.
