A few flower shots taken with our new 6D and uber expensive and exotic new lens.

The purple iris is at ISO 3200. This camera just has astonishing high ISO performance.

My first lightning shoot with my 6D. I usually use my 550D with my Tokina 11-16 f2.8 because I trust that lens at infinity more than any other lens I have owned and I usually shoot lightning that way. Maybe I am doing something wrong but the other lenses that I use for lightning namely my EF 50 f1.4 and EF-S 15-85 f3.5-5.6 don't seem to be sharp at infinity.

These were shot using my EF 16-35 f2.8L II at 35mm. I focused on the tree line. Sadly the sky wasn't completely dark so I couldn't do long exposures and the nice colors in the clouds that come with lightning were muted somewhat. I like how they turned out and love how the files can be worked in post without the banding and other issues that I would have with my 550D.

It's a great landscape body, too.  My favorite features for landscape?  It will focus even with a heavy ND filter on it because of the sensitivity of the center point.  The Wi-Fi functionality allows me to shoot long exposures in bulb mode controlling it with my iPhone and cheating the mosquitoes of a meal.

I gotta say, the 6d handled admirably as a wedding camera, a very nice companion camera to a 5d3.  It even handled the dancing parts of the reception quite well (I did switch to the 5d3 as the dancing kicked up a notch, and not even because I thought the shots were bad, but because the 5d3's servo mode is better).

I have yet to get the images off the memory cards, but have previewed a bunch using the wifi ap, so, here are a few unedited jpeg wifi transfer images!

Thanks for the good report.  I've done a few weddings with mine, and have another next weekend.

TY...can't wait to start playing with the files!  Fun fun fun.  And, tis should be interesting to see too, because I had a second shooter for this one and he was using 2 nikon bodies, a D3 and a D4...so I will have a ton of images from 4 bodies to work with.
