Pag and CTJohn, very nice shots!

I shot some video this evening with my 6D, of fireflies with my Voigtlander 58 f/1.4.  Looks nice enough on the camera's screen, not uploaded it yet.

A few flower shots taken with our new 6D and uber expensive and exotic new lens.

The purple iris is at ISO 3200. This camera just has astonishing high ISO performance.

Love these shots!

Shot this afternoon with the 6D 300 1250th ISO 1250.

Jack

If this shot is the one you're referring to with the water not being the right shade of blue...I dunno it looks fine to me, maybe a tad warm.  I'd probably leave it alone.

CarlTN, yes I'm puzzled by the steely appearance and colors I often get with water, I guess generally in sunshine.  It's not that I don't like it but I don't recall the scene looking exactly like that.  However, I'm guessing this is where the lens and the camera's characteristics (shutter speed etc.) come in and it's simply what you get??

Here's a few shots I took over the week-end. All hand-held, at night, with a 6D and a Sigma 50mm f/1.4. It's pretty amazing how little light you need to shoot with this combo.

Lovely shots!  Could you give the EXIF and post processing info?  Thanks.

Thanks all for the nice comments! For the exif info, clicking on the pictures will bring you to Flickr where you can scroll down and click on "show more" next to "Additional Info" near the bottom of the page to make it appear (admittedly, it's pretty well hidden).

My throw away comment about our new uber expensive and exotic lens was tongue-in-cheek 'cos it's actually my daughters new 70-300 non 'L'. The lens is so bad mid frame at 300mm that it actually creates a rather nice soft focus effect !

Carl, tell me about the Voigtlander.  I have heard some say that other than the lack of AF it is actually one of the best options in the 50mm range.

I thought it doesn't come in an EF mount ?

Taken on St. Kitts Island.  7 shots merged in Photomatix.  I have NEVER seen a rainbow like this, and may never again.  It was just about that bright in real life... simply amazing!

It does. Finding one is another matter.

Well, that other shot kind of almost looked like you were using the polarizer filter, but it's hard to tell.

This shot...um it looks like some kind of "closeup abstraction" of an alligator with its nose protruding from the water...??
