Began to think maybe I shouldn't have a camera in my hand since I don't shoot manual!
Never the less all the posts give bits of useful information that can help one improve. One of my big problems is forgetfulness, like increasing exposure for a sky shot and then not bumping it back. DPP is pretty wonderful at forgiving some of these things in the raw files - I'm impressed.
I like the redwood shot, Andy. What is it, thousands of years you're recording in that shot?!
Here's a contrast to the redwoods, this pinkish wildflower is less than 1/4" across. I only noticed it because I was patiently sitting for more waxwings to show up. These things are all around us and like medicine to the soul.
