Hello mates! I'm a new 6D user from Hong Kong. I struggled to choose either 6D or 5D3, but now I feel very good with my 6D. However, this is my "second" 6D, since I got a defective body. I found out that every time I switched on the camera to get a shot, the first photo would be totally black. Keeping all the settings constant, the second shot would be normal. I returned the body and got another one and it works normally. How lucky I was to get a defective DSLR.

The shots below were taken in Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, with 24-105mm.

That is certainly a weird phenomena.  Still, these are some beautiful shots.  Enjoy your new camera!

One more...from Fredericksburg, Texas

And my pics look very grainy when I uploaded and view on here - are they appearing the same for anyone else and if so, any advice to help a first time user upload pics?  Is it better to put on flickr or somewhere else and then link to it?

Canon 6D, 17-40mm f/4L with a Hoya HD polarizer. No post-processing (I'm a purist) and the camera took care of the exposure.  :D
Canon EOS 6D | 17-40mm f/4L | 24-105mm f/4L | 40mm f/2.8 | Speedlite 600EX-RT |

The sorta cheap CP on my 50 1.4 really saturated my shots today.

Canon 6D, Meike battery grip, Black Rapid Strap
EF 40mm f/2.8, EF 50mm f/1.4, EF 135mm f/2L USM, 430EX II Speedlite
HDR photos look best when I can't see them.

Dustin - I just love this shot! By the way, thanks in large part to your glowing reviews, I picked up a 6D a couple of months ago and have been enjoying it immensely. In fact, in honor of your barn, here's an HDR barn shot I did with my 6D recently.

My latest shot with the 6D and the 24-105L. I made just a little processing in Photoshop. What do you think?
