Hello. My name is Emil and I'm new to photography. I mostly take pictures of my niece and such. Nevermind the date on the dog picture, it should be 2013 but I missed setting the wrong year for a long time. I've kind of been a long time lurker but now I figured I should share some of my photos.

Another good image Dustin. Had a look at your pal Blair's work. It's good and interesting, not overly keen on repeated use of fill in flash. I think yours are more subtle.

I'm working on my own night shots now to see what I can produce. Not as easy as it looks !!

He has a very recognizable style, to be sure.  But you can't help but be impressed by the amazing job he does executing his vision.  He often puts a ton of work into those shots.

My approach is more subtle in part by necessity.  I don't have access to those grand vistas that he does, and have to choose spots where the trees don't close in.  I am looking forward to shooting some winter ones here (no lack of night in winter!), even though I will freeze my rear off getting them.

Thank you Dustin. Your review of the Tamron 70-200 VC amoung other reviews helped me to decide to get it. Here are some pictures I took with it during the first 2 days. Hopefully the dad and his daughter didn't mind that I took a few pictures of them.

Those are some great images.  The sharpness and DOF on that first one is fabulous!

Finally, I was able to shoot some with my 6D.  I really love this camera.  I just miss that little joystick.

Road-testing 101...  I'll try to do some landscapes next weekend as it's almost always raining these past few days here in Kuala Lumpur.

These have nice sharpness, Jason.  What lens are you using for these?

I've used 50mm F1.8II on the first two and the 100mm F2.8 macro USM non-L on the last 3.  I really fell in love with these two lenses more when I tried it with 6D.  Even at 1600, files are clean.  I love your flickr images.  What the PP tool are you using?  Thanks.

It is typically some combination of Lightroom, Photoshop, and Alien Skin Exposure.  Occasionally I add Snap Art and/or one of the programs in the OnOne Perfect Photo Suite.

Here's another one from the 6D/Roki 14mm combo:
