Hair services...  Just found this shot colorful and funny.  Shot with my trusty fun lens 50mm F1.8 II.

Looks natural to me. I don't think I would have guessed HDR. Wish we had pretty fall colors like that here in Hawaii (leaves are either green or dead brown).

But on the other hand, in January you'll be Hawaii - and I'll be in Michigan looking at snow and bare trees, and freezing!

Good point ;D

Good morning walk by the beach...  I must have been too early.  I can't find that "foreground interest" to make sunrise look better.  Then I remembered I was wearing my slippers.  :)

Epic by Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott, on Flickr

Very nice, Dustin. Beautiful clouds and sunset. What is that bluish-green aquamarine ;) stuff in the foreground?

That was part of what caught my eye, too.  I think it was some kind of foam from the water.  It looks like bits of ice, but it wasn't yet that cold when I took the shot.

I just got this camera last week refurbished from Canon - couldn't pass it up at ~$1,200 US dollars.

Haven't had a lot of opportunity to work with it yet, but here is a red squirrel in my front yard.

Cropped down to 2012x2206, ISO 1600, pushed up 2/3 of a stop in LR 5.  Shot with the Sigma 120-300 (the new 'sport' one) with Canon 1.4 teleconverter version II attached.  1/250 at F8.

Shot my very first prenup of a Muslim couple.  It's a different experience with a lot of conservatism.  Bad weather forced us to shot indoors but in the end, the couple are quite happy on how it turned out given the limitations.  I've edited this using Lightroom.  The second one used 2 off-camera speedlights.  Vignetting is added through LR.

That's a photo I took yesterday in low light with my 6D, 85mm f1.8, ISO 6400.
I love taking photos in low light and this camera is just perfect!
Cheers.

Beautiful!!! Yes... There's also almost no problem lifting shadows.  Nice use of the toy ball with light.
