You'll be better of with a 6D.  Just wait a little bit and it'll go down to around 1700 to 1800 just like the 5D3 price going down.

5d3 kit with 24-105mm is now $3499 at B+H...

5d2 for $1599 is tempting but I;ll also wait on the 6d or 5d3.  I tested the 6d with a 24-105 at a local camera store last week and was impressed with it.  I think my wife would use a 6d alot more often due to the wifi and her not having to deal with the "hassle" of manually transitioning sd cards to her laptop.

Not quite. It was 1999 last year with a CF Card and a little Lowepro bag, from B&H. I got one. I kept a pretty close eye on sales last December, and I didn't see anything lower than that.

You may be right. I don't remember well enough to say for sure. But I seem to remember it was the week between Christmas and New Year, and it was lower than $1999.

Either way, doesn't make any difference. My 5D3 arrives tomorrow. I've been suffering the AF of a T2i for almost three years now. What a relief!

I'm very much happy with my 5DII I just recently got an amazing deal for, it was "used" but only about 3K clicks, even once the 6D comes down in price, like to 1700 (not a chance, gotta wait at least a year for that to happen!). The extra ISO performance and the AF that works better is great and all but not $1000 better (for me), especially with that grip, the 5Ds have that comfortable well fitting grip, the 6D feels like a rebel and won't stay in my hand for long with a 70-200. And no joystick... and that not-as-fast flash sync... should have added that swivel screen even if it meant more work for the weather sealing and weight

The last post that I saw said that there was an extra battery and battery grip included as well as a CF card so I bought it on the bhphoto website and now your post has changed to say a camera bag and a CF card. Is it because the battery grip one has been sold out?
