Nikon patent for digital back for 35mm SLR

Ok, if Nikon do this and it will fit into a Canon SLR, I'm going to find myself a 1V or EOS-33 and wait..

I'd love something like that for my EOS 3. I doubt Canon would ever do it but some 3rd party manufacturer might. I can still dream, can't I?

Kodak made them for the N90 back in 1995.  They made some for Canon bodies as well.
Overall, they were pricey at $35,500 initially and a bit klutzy, but a 6mp camera in 1995 was something special.  I bought mine about 3 years back for $100 :)  It still works!!

I saw the news and was thinking if the market bigger enough to make the product be successful?  We will see.

Id buy one. a current sensor, just reused, nothing fancy, and you could have a pro quality full frame for a few hundred
60D, Sigma 17-70 2.8-4, Tamron 70-300 4-5.6 VC, EF 50mm 1.8II, and a Sigma EF-610 DG superflash
